Good morning.
I filmed this meditation several weeks ago and then… I didn’t send it. I would come home from work and feel that deep, bone-tired moment of—I cannot do one more thing. So I didn’t. I honored my feelings and need for sleep.
And now I believe that perhaps this meditation was never meant for then. That’s why I was dragging my heels (the eclipse!).
Perhaps it was meant for tonight when we say goodbye to Trapped and Welcome Fire.
Trapped was the first movement of February’s energy. I feel it coming in and out this year—like a tide receding and then quietly returning.
For me, it has shown up as subtle rumination. The mind circling with old assumptions and stories that evoke doubt or fear. Then, I got to thinking we’re in the New Moon Window—that post is coming out later today—and we’ve got:
New Moon tomorrow
Chinese Year of the Fire Horse
Solar ECLIPSE!
No wonder we’ve been feeling everything for the past 2 weeks and will continue to be going through the wringer for the next 2 (okay, not really the wringer, but we’re burning away all the old so it can definitely feel intense).
Today release all old stories, behaviors, and ways of being that you would like to leave behind.
Today and the next two weeks:
Spend time in the mindset, behaviors, and habits you would like to energize and carry into this next year.
Also, don’t worry if you’ve had a general paralysis around all the things getting done. The energy the massive shifts of the transition we are now undergoing are felt differently for everyone: Health issues showing themselves, really tired or wired, issues with hunger (not eating or overeating), those are just a few of the ways this energy impacts us.
How have you noticed the energy over the past 2 weeks?
Pivot to Understanding Trapped
If you’re thinking, Wait… what does “Trapped” even feel like? — it’s that moment when mindset and memory conspire to convince you that you are stuck.
When you replay perceived wrongs over and over again.
When you revisit what you hate about your circumstances at brunch and get everyone on your side about a circumstance or situation.
Then, you call a friend and repeat the same story again.
Rinsing and repeating all the things that are wrong keeps you stuck.
During this phase, the mind tends to focus on what makes it feel confined. And if we stay there—if we share those thoughts again and again—we remain in suffering.
But here Trapped becomes the subtle pivot.
The energy of Trapped is not here to punish you. It is here to reveal you to you so that you can release any suffering and move into the new year free and clear.
It shows you where your thinking narrows. Where you are defining yourself in ways that leave no room for expansiveness. And once you see that clearly, you can choose something else.
Not bypassing.
See clearly. Then, choice.
When you shift your focus toward potential—even gently—you begin to move from suffering into spaciousness. That is the purpose of Trapped. The energy shows you the mental construct so you can decide whether to keep living inside it.
A few weeks ago, I lived the most ridiculous and perfect metaphor for this.
I was driving, and no matter which lane I chose, it stopped. I would be moving smoothly, then signal to turn—and the moment I entered the new street, traffic froze. I turned left onto a road that had been flowing freely… and instantly it became a parking lot.
It happened over and over.
At first I felt frustration rising. Then I started laughing.
I remember thinking, Well, this is on point. It was a beautiful exquisite real world example that felt like a reminder from the world at large that the collective was now in Trapped. I knew it would pass. I knew eventually I would make it home and see my Cheeky girl.
The meditation was not supposed to be breathwork. I began intending to offer Reiki. But the breath felt so good in my body that I stayed with it. The beginning fumbles a little because I was following and trying to direct the current until I released all form of direction.
And perhaps that is the teaching.
When frustration rises—when the mind begins to rehearse the story of confinement—the breath interrupts the loop. It moves the energy physically. It softens the tightening. It gives the nervous system another option.
You can simply breathe.
Let this practice meet you wherever you are.
If you notice rumination of the next few days, release and breathe.
If you notice tightness, intend it be released and breathe.
If you notice laughter at the absurd perfection of your own metaphors 😅, breathe.
We are moving through an energetic doorway.
And breath is how we connect to ourself, others, and the world around us so that we can stride through it with confidence, joy and ease.

Try out what Bengston feels like (learn about it on Telepathy Tape Session 2, Ep. 8) and learn about this style of energy healing. Eric Bates and I will be offering continuous Bengston Energy Healing in the background while we introduce a little about Bengston and guide you in meditation.
From Eric: We are excited to hold this type of event for the first time, as this is a wonderful opportunity for us to observe the effects of a large group receiving healing simultaneously. Over the years of Bill Bengston conducting his healing experiments with cancer-injected mice, he noticed that the more mice were involved in his studies, the faster the rate of healing the mice underwent.
Meanwhile, in the last years of Bill’s life he insisted that we in the community “go beyond” him. Perhaps it is now time for us to playfully experiment with the many ways we may be able to do just that. And, I can think of no better way for us to engage with the Bengston Method than to intentionally offer healing to as many people as possible at one time. Eve and I are looking forward to doing as many of these events in the future as time and community interest allow.
