Welcome to Sanctum with Eve — a space for realignment through sound, energy, and reflection.
This is more than a newsletter. It’s an invitation to soften, to return, and to remember what’s already within you.
Here, we walk together — through the deeper layers of self, shadow, and wisdom — exploring spiritual practice, Reiki, dreamwork, sound, and the unseen rhythms shaping our lives. You’ll find reflections, resources, and real stories that speak to integration — to the lived, daily embodiment of your spiritual awakening
I just finished writing about June’s collective energy and boom! We are in July. (Scroll to the bottom for information about collective energy, how to use it, and what it means for us.)
How do I know that the collective energy has shifted to that of July?
Where June was expansive, encouraging us to speak and listen from the heart, July’s energy slows the rhythm, thickens the air, and calls us inward.
You may feel it in your breath, your gut—the sense that something strong is coming. But it’s not here yet. You are waiting.
It is the penetrating stillness before the thunder breaks.
The moment before the sky releases.
The birds have gone quiet.
The animals have taken shelter.
And you?
You are being asked to do the same.
This is a month of restraint—not as punishment, but as preparation.
The I Ching reminds us: true power lives in alignment, not reaction. This is not the time to force outcomes, lash out, or share every wound with the world. Even though we may feel called to do this to ease some of the feeling of ripe stagnancy.
Have you ever noticed how some times you want to just do something for the sake of doing it?
To move energy?
Later, if asked, you may not even know why you acted out. It just happened. This is part of the energy of July.
The I Ching ask us to consider every action. It feels really important for us to understand right now the movement of July’s energy. This will help you move with ease and grace in a world where things might seem like they’re coming out of nowhere.
Really heavy things.
This is the time to root. To ground and grow the connection or bridge with our higher selves. Let’s look at how the Book of Change recommends we do this.
Integrity as Shelter
Integrity, in this context, is more than honesty. It’s the integration of your actions, your words, and your values. The three woven together in balance.
It’s the ability to stay you even when the world becomes chaotic.
Think of leaders like Reverend Desmond Tutu, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., or Thích Nhất Hạnh. Their power didn’t come from resistance alone. It came from being anchored in love, clarity, and purpose.
Lead in this way. It will be remembered (this is important for the energy of December ;) ).
If you’re creating from fear, the storm will toss you like a yacht in a hurricane.
If you’re rooted in awe, in gratitude, in fierce love—your life will grow, even in the storm.
Reflection Prompts
What does integrity feel like in my body? In my life?
Are there places where I feel out of alignment?
What helps bring me back to myself when I feel shaken?
Navigating the Energy of Restraint
This energy may tempt you to act quickly, to relieve the pressure. But the wiser path is one of discernment.
Before reacting, ask:
Does this move me closer to integrity?
Is this reaction rooted in love, or in fear?
Am I trying to offload discomfort, or speak from truth?
If you feel pulled into conflict or harm, pause. If others have wounded you, resist the urge to retell the story to every ear you find. Let your healing be private, tender, sacred. Let it ground you, not define you.
This is a time to:
Stay steady in the storm
Choose your words with care
Set quiet, firm boundaries where needed
Act only when aligned with love and truth
Final Reflection
How can I strengthen my connection to my values this month?
Am I reacting more than usual—to others, to the news, to myself?
What boundaries will help me hold my energy and peace?
When the sky opens—because it will—you will be ready.
Grounded.
Clear.
Unshakeable.
Your July Takeaway:
Save for the Future: Consider setting aside a portion of your income, even a small percentage, to create security for upcoming months.
Preparedness: Plan for the future. By saving resources—be it time, money, or energy—you protect yourself from potential hardships and create stability.
Examine Your Boundaries: Reflect on the limits you have placed in your life. Are they serving you, or do they need adjustment?
Find Contentment: Make peace with the present moment and the resources available to you. This mindset can transform perceived lack into abundance.
The Illusion of Entitlement: Feelings of entitlement or being “owed” something often stem from a mindset of lack. If you carry this mindset, the sense of deprivation will persist, regardless of what you receive. Releasing these feelings can foster balance and harmony.
The restrained energy of July may feel heavy at times, but it is a midway point which offers opportunities to reconnect with your values and check in with your alignment. By staying true to yourself and embracing contentment, you can weather the storm and emerge stronger, more aligned, and at peace.
From this space of contentment, blessings and opportunities will arise naturally, helping you move forward with peace and purpose. Trust the process, honor your commitments, and act intending to create a harmonious and expansive future.
The transition to August will feel like the excitement of travel. 🧳
What is the collective energy?
Collective energy is the subtle, shared emotional and spiritual current moving through humanity at a given time—shaped by cosmic and cultural events as well as ancestral memory. It influences how we feel, act, and respond, often stirring deep personal shifts that mirror the transformation happening in the greater whole.
How does the collective energy impact you?
Collective energy can amplify what’s already stirring within you—bringing buried emotions to the surface, heightening sensitivity, or nudging you toward needed change. Even if you can’t name it, you might feel off, unusually inspired, heavy, agitated, or cracked open; this is your system responding to the larger pulse moving through us all.
Why can’t the collective energy be pin pointed to a specific day?
The calendar is a helpful—but ultimately arbitrary—way to measure time. When I read the movement of collective energy, I use the calendar as a reference point because it’s familiar and grounding, but the energy itself doesn’t follow our manmade months. Instead, I loosely align the energetic shifts with the calendar to help us anticipate when they might arrive, though they often flow in early or linger long after.
P.S. Today was supposed to be a post on reading the signs! The debrief. July’s energy was so potent last week that I decided to move this post up. So that you can see the type of energy we’re working with clearly.
